My Experiences: Facebook at a Glance

I came to know about Facebook when I was transferred to Saudi Arabia for my job, as we are always hunting for social networking sites like orkut etc. Unfortunately orkut was blocked in Saudi Arabia and while hunting to chat with friends one of my office colleagues referred me to Facebook. He went on about all the facilities there - Facebook banners, the games, the apps etc. It sounded fun. When I opened an account in FB really I started loving and used to it often. I got in touch with old friends back home in Peru and we would exchange photos and news from our respective countries we were currently stationed in. In the end, Facebook became my lifeline - I had few friends in Saudi Arabia and would salvishly look forward to my sessions on Facebook. When we were denied internet access at work, I was absolutely gutted.
