You need a decent kitchen - it's the start of everything in the home. It's where you cook your meals - and these meals give your family their health and sustenance. A bad kitchen makes for an unhealthy family in my opinion. I'm talking of a kitchen with just a microwave and maybe a couple of hobs - how can you cook for a family with just these?!
And I like us to eat in the kitchen too - away from the TV. We have a nice big table, complete with a Gingham table cover. We sit down and discuss our day. The kids tell me how school was, my husband talks of his work, and I discuss my day. Before we know it, we're discussing all kinds of things and it really makes us a lot closer to have this time together where we can be a full family, away from the distractions of school, work and the TV. |
